Cooking Planit Spice Giveaway - Enter Now!

I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I don't know what we're having for dinner until about an hour before we eat. Even with all the pinning and food blog reading I do, sometimes I just lack dinner time inspiration. A few weeks ago, I mentioned Cooking Planit, a super interactive site that brings closure to your what's-for-dinner-woes (and mine) as a digital cooking assistant. This site (or the corresponding cooking app) allows you to do menu planning, find recipes, plan grocery shopping trips, and time each piece and part of your meal to be done together. Whether you're looking for weeknight cooking ideas or dinner party planning, this site will do everything, but cook for you! The folks who created this site are really geniuses. You know what else they are? Super generous.

They have agreed to let me give one lucky reader a set of 26 kitchen spices. How awesome is that? I think you'll love these spices; because, as we all know, flavor (or lack therof) can seriously make or break a recipe. If I put a plain chicken breast on a plate next to some plain steamed veggies, that's going to be much less appealing than cajun chicken cozied up next to some veggies sautéed with garlic and onion powders. See what I mean? Anywho, not only am I able to give away a spice set - 49 other bloggers are taking part in this MEGA giveaway as well (see the chart below to gain additional entries). 50 spice sets total will be given away to some lucky, lucky readers!

See what you get if you are 1 of 50 lucky winners:

  16. I use Cayenne Pepper all the time but I would add it to my Pad Thai that we eat at least once a week until we can get our fresh peppers growing in the garden. It would also get used in our chicken taco pie, regular tacos, and cajun pasta with alfredo sauce, peppers and onions.

  28. I cook at home 3 meals almost every day for my hubby and I.... So, spices are something I use alot of since I try to season with things that are healthful, and non-caloritic. (is that a word?) Manzanello Mexican sounds really great to try in my enchiladas!

  29. To cook some more healthy dinners for my family.....homemade tomato vegetable soup would be one of the first things I would make....it would use quite a few of these spices, basil, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, Rosemary, pepper....yes, I'm getting hungry just thinking of this yummy healthy comfort food. I love making homemade soup....I'd also make some chili. And as much as I want to, I'd pass on my favorite spice cookie recipe as I've been trying to cook more healthy for my family lately as my husband has been having a lot of medical problems. Would love to win this. I could definately use all these grist new spices. Thank you. Dh_jax (at) yahoo (dot) com
